VM26 carb problem Hey, I have a 04 crf70 with 88cc big bore kit with race head and stroker kit installed, it rips above 1/4 throttle but runs rich at idle up to 1/4 throttle, I have the smallest pilot jet installed a 12.5, could the float height be to high causing a rich condition at idle, anybody have problems with the vm26 Mikuni carb. Help.

Re: VM26 carb problem That carb is way to big for a 88 in my opinion. I run a 20mm on my TB88 racehaed.

Re: VM26 carb problem Well it's really a 108cc because of the stroker kit installed so it should handle a vm26 ok.

Re: VM26 carb problem woops sorry I didnt see that until now that it was a strocker. I have a 24mm on my 108. Mine ran ok with the 26 when I put it on but it didnt have the throttle response that I wanted. If I remeber right I couldnt get the low end ot run right either. My advice would be a 24mm Kiehin and a diff intake manifold.

Re: VM26 carb problem Yea I was afraid that carb might be to big but a lot of the kits come with that carb so I think I'll play with it a little longer, if worse come to worse I'll get the 24mm carb, Thanks.

Re: VM26 carb problem Might need a smaller main. That jet effects 1/4 throttle a lill too
