Sprockets What are you gaining out of sprocket changes? ive looked at a couple of gear set ups mostly for built motors but im looking to see what people are doing with mostly stock motors and what noticible power changes they are getting, pritty much the deal is my and my buddy go out to hit some jjmps and basicly both of are bikes are stock as far as motor goes now he is on a klx-110 and when i try to clear the same jumps i just come up short by just a little bit and im staying %100 commited to the jumps and all that and going threw the conners its allways to bogged out in 2nd and wrapped out in 1st just wondering how much gain ppl are getting with bigger rear sprockets or smaller front sprockets

Re: Sprockets bigger front sprokets means more top end (speed) bigger back sprockets means more bottom end(get upa nd go). A bigger back would probably be good and you could run it in third

Re: Sprockets You're just going to move the speed at which you're bogging in 2nd or screaming in 1st. The revs cut in half on the 1-2 shift, due to crappy gear ratios. An AHP 4 speed or Tak 3 speed is a big help. BTW, bogging in 2nd? Track in your living room?

Re: Sprockets the places we a been riding have really tight trails pritty much hair pin after hairpin i mean dont get me wrong its a blast but just hating that big gap between the 1st and 2nd gears i also have herd a couple ppl getting a 4th gear drum and it changes your all around gear spacing
