In praise of tb 88cc kit

first of all, i had a lot of problems when i first installed the kit -- none of which had anything to do with the kit itself (see my other threads / posts). It was a loose ground wire on the frame under the fuel tank. Just a coincidence that it came loose right before i installed the new engine kit.

other than that, this engine flat rocks!!!!!

It is the most smooth-running, steady-idling, easy-starting engine i ever owned. Runs much better than brand-new. Has tons more power. This kit is not for beginning riders. Power is plentiful -- suddenly any rider can climb any hill (while doing a wheelie). The power is soo sweeet, you just laugh uncontrollably while riding it. Best 300.00 i ever spent thats for sure!!!!!

I installed the tb 88cc kit with carb and race head / race cam.

Until you have a good port job, and careful clearance work, it won't rev like a Tak... It's apples and aardvarks. TB stuff is great, for the low $$ bolt-on crowd. Until a few more changes happen, I'll be making more overall power with my tuned-up Chinese e22 types

I take my TB108 on the freeway. Pulls a steady 55-60mph no problem.
