| Help with stock 70 motor tune. I added a pipe and UNI filter to my stock 70. I have adjusted the needle clip to every position so far with the same results. It runs best in the second position from the bottom. But in every position I have a very small hesitation when you crack the throttle from idle. If you crack it from any other position other than idle it rips. It just has a slight hesitation off idle(very slight). Messed with fuel screw and idle in every position. I think the main may need to be changed from stock. It sounds like it is starving for gas with almost a sucking noise. Is this the main? 88 kit is coming but my son is going to ride this weekend so I need to figure it out. Thanks in advance.. |

| Re: Help with stock 70 motor tune. Put the stock pipe back on and see how it responds. You may wanna just bump the idle up a bit also. Until that motor is massaged a bit, it won't have perfect throttle response.

| Re: Help with stock 70 motor tune. probably since you are letting in twice as much air you should allow twice as much fuel try jetting the carb if you cant fix it by raising the needle.and it will always hesitate, till you dial it in. |
