70 BBR motor I recently installed the BBR Super Pro Setup on my 70. The 88cc head, cylinder, piston, oil pump, clutch springs, and 18mm carb. I also put on the Big Gun Rev box, and the breather hose. I am thinking about ordering a stroker kit and stroking it to a 108cc. What should I do before I do that? Are there any decent mods or additions to get more power before stroking it? I have a rocket exhaust on the way, but other than that, should I try a larger carb? Any tips would be great.

A larger carb would help with the upper rev range, the 18mm is a little small for that bore/head the old takegawa R-stage which is more or less the same as the BBR super pro came with a keihin Pe24 carb and it runs great so I dont see any reason you couldn't run a Pe24 carb.

Ditch the Big Gun CDI. When we tested it up here it resulted in a power LOSS over the stock Honda CDI across the board.

I just wanted the higher revs, but its as good as gone... what do you all think about the stroker kit? or is there any other way to make up power without doing that?

Get an inner rotor? And maybe some head work?

An IRK won't produce more power, you need to either increase displacement, or get that motor breathing more. Bang for buck bumping displacement via a stroker crank will be the fastest way to hop that motor up.

| An IRK will produce more power....Maybe and I say maybe the peak power may be similiar to a stock ignition but throughout the power curve it will be higher and hit the marks alot quicker.......It is all about throttle response on engines this little and low on HP..... Most of the power on these engines is in the cylinder head...displacement does matter but as many have stated a stock 125cc engine can not keep up with a properly built 88 with a good head..... With this in mind go for the head/carb/exhaust and you'll make the best power for the money.....The IRK will allow your engine to rev up quicker and have quicker out of the hole power but sometimes this can get you into trouble.....
