| 2 smokes no more Question: Want to know the real reason they released the new 150 this year? It has nothing to do with the pit bike industry as a few think. The 150 will be legal next year for the 85 class. The rule WILL be changed to 150cc four strokes vs 85cc two strokes. Why would they release it this year and make sure the rules are changed for next year? I mean all the other manufactures are still in development and testing stages so why didn't they just continue to test for another year and make sure its perfect. Answer: Honda made it very clear at the dealer meeting that next model year they will not be producing any two strokes. Yes, I said any. Sorry guys, the two stroke days are not just coming to an end soon, in Honda's eyes, they are finished. If you want a two stroke, you better buy it now.

The Truth behind it is all the factorys have been developing 4-stroke race bikes for the past 2 years to compete in the 85 class. the competition is so fearce and competetive in the Real Mini world such as (Lorretta Lynn and Ponca City) that Honda wants to be the first to release it all the others will follow soon before the next season starts. the same thing happened a few years back when Doug Henry won a 250cc outdoor championship on a 426cc 4-Stroke thats what started the Ball rolling first the 450f killed the 250cc then the 250f killed the 125cc....Now the 150f will kill the 85cc this does not concern the Pit Bike Nation..... we have already out grown the XR50 backyard Pit Bike Racer by developing the (Kit forms) of Bikes and motor kits like BBR and Vinco and Takegawa Kitaco Daytona ect ect ect the Import bikes only introduce another class bike "Import Class" the Real fun went out with the 88cc kit..... whats everyone concerened about the Honda 150f this affects the real world not the Fun of the Pit Bike Nation so stop getting your panties in a bunch.....

Let's be honest, Honda gave up on 2 strokes in 2002/3. Likely earlier.

the truth is honda 2-smokes blew anyways. there were horrible bikes, not just the bike, it was mainly the engines in them. the mid 90's honda bikes though were good, and were verynice. and yes, i would know, i have the bikes to compare them too.

It's obvious some people aren't getting the message about the water cooled and open cradle frame issues as far as pit bikes go.

word. crf150r is no pitbike, my classes here for the 150cc pitbike class are AIR COOLED 2valve motors only... Do people really think the 150r is for pitbike purposes? Its to get young MX racers/riders with rich daddy's to get their kids on Hondas, and stay on hondas...

They'll aprove it, it's the same thing as 125 two strokes racing in the same class as the 250 four strokes. And of course the 4strokes will dominate.

I'm old and there has been talk of no more two strokes for over thirty years.I have worked on bikes for over thirty years. All I can say is thank the epa no more two strokes. Not yamaha or honda if they can't sell it here why make it.What will we do when all dirt bikes are outlawed.I have watch all the riding places go bye bye next the bikes. You will only be able to ride at the track that's it.In calif. you cant even ride in you bark yard.I miss the two strokes they were ez to work on just changing the oil on a four stroke is a big pain.
