Been thinking about a 150R. What kind of maintenance is required as far as replacement of parts/ going into the motor? Seems like somewhere i saw that Honda recommends replacing the piston every 5 hrs? Seems like that's not very long at all. I might replace rings on a 2S that often, IF I was racing, but geez, that almost sounda as bad as an Aprillia.

Does anyone know what the facts are and how much it costs? Also, if i were to get a used one wouldn't I have to budget in that cost, just assuming that any used bike would need it? Any idea the fair price for a used 07'?

recomendations make them money. guess it depends on how you ride it really.

Honda recommends to replace the piston and rings every 7 hours of race use.
Under regular riding ie; recreational riding you could go longer.
I've had a few engines with over 30 hours of racing and that same engine did the Dirt Rider 24 hour ride with out any issues.
The only problem I have seen with that engine is the valve seats.
They seem to deteriorate over time, especially if you have a ginormous cam.
Other wise, it's a great engine.

i have a 150r, dont ride it hard at all, no internal maintenance has been needed with about 15 hours on it now. Its an 07 in awesome condition and taken well care of, and i MIGHT be interested in selling it this winter pm me if you might be interested in giving me an offer to think about.
