I saw Starling and Renner racing the new CRF150 in the 85 class at Gatorback this weekend. It's fast and looks even less like a pitbike than the old 150's did. This is a full on race bike for the 85 classes now.

read through this whole thread and it sounds like the cats into pitbikes are dissing the crf150r because it is watercooled and stuff. well think about it in the old days when air cooled 2 strokes were the 5hit and then these new fandangled water cooled 2 strokes came out. did you think these same conversations and debates were happening? I would have to say yes especailly when one bike is faster than another.

I agree the crf150r is not a true pitbike but I will put money down that you will see adults on them at pitbike tracks.

just buy the bike you like and ride it.

guys i was out at competetive edge a few 2 weeks ago and ashley foilek was on a crf150. the thing straight ripped up that track. i went over there and looked at it and it seems like honda just shoved that motor up in there along with a lot of other stuff. kind of packed in there. but the thing is straight rippin up the mini scene next year for sure

If you read my above post, the Gatorback race this weekend in Florida had 2 guys riding them. Starling who won all his 85 classes, and the youngest Renner who was top 3 all weekend. They are fast, I wouldn't say faster then an 85, they were pretty comparable, but theirs were stock too i think.

No, this is in Florida, I just rode one today and they are FAST. More torque than a 85 could ever dream of having.

I must say I am more than a little surprised, hearing how they did not even want to allow the 150F.
