i figured out a way to bolt a Marzocchi 45mm 150R kit to a 150F. took some inginuity but it works great. i am hoping to have some pics of it tomorrow, but the entire kit weighs in a pound less than stock and gives 3 inches more travel +/-. that with the White bros R4 pipe and this thing rips! i will share pics ASAP, just had to share my enthusiasm...

Re: custom fork swap on a 150f!!! yeah, i had to remove the standard brake side axle lug and replace it with a lug with the international standard (45mm lug from a Husky 250/450), and i had to machine a threaded axle sleeve that fits in the axle hole for the stock axle to thread and lock into. the guard actually had to modded slightly too, and the number plate had to be replaced with the 07 style plate. i can tell you right now it took a LOT of labor and tinkering, but now it rips!

Re: custom fork swap on a 150f!!! Very cool, ridered29! I like those mods that take a little bit of thought and some home-grown fabrication. Makes you proud when your mods go well. I love this size class of bike with power and suspension upgrades. Seems to be gaining popularity out there. For the less technically inclined of us, Engines Only offers up a bolt on Showa fork upgrade for the CRF150F, along with bore kits and other goodies. Be sure to see these full size pics (large!): Engines Only CRF150F pic1 Engines Only CRF150F pic2
