| crf150r advice hey all i want to get some advice ive read that the crf150r has valve problems ive read that if you keep the air cleaner clean and regular oil changes and run valve guard that the bikes arnt too bad i plan to get one but im not going to be riding it flat pinned all the time i will only ride it maybe 6 hours a month on my days off do you still think ill have heaps of problems |

| Re: crf150r advice Not quite sure what valve guard is but if u do all the other things you named (basic maintance) there sure not be many problems. You may have to play with jetting though. |

| Re: crf150r advice Wut type of riding do you do? And they dont quite have valve problems but like all mx 4 strokes, you should shim the valves every 8-12hrs. I'd say a big waste of your money if youre gonna ride it only 6hrs a month. |

| Re: crf150r advice I'd suggest a full mod 150F or DRZ/KLX125 for flat track. The gears on a 150R run real short and wont get you too much speed without some gearing changes and a few other mods. The money spent on a 150R is more than enough to build a really tricked out 150F or 125.... |

| Re: crf150r advice aiiight....Have fun!!! And don't get me wrong, 150Rs are really fun bikes just not the best choice for your riding but definately doable. If you really want one then GO FOR IT!!! |

| Re: crf150r advice Great bike...So far no valve probs to speak of...Just need constant shimming every now and then. Like I said, real short gears so I'm usually runnig on 5th gear at the track...And real torquey!!! Overall FUN BIKE!!!!! |

| Re: crf150r advice My son races his 150-R he is 13. 2 motos per round,3 rounds a month,for the last 8 months.Only needed to reshim valves about once a month.Along with regular maintanence.So far so good. |
