Re: crf150r advice

Not quite sure what valve guard is but if u do all the other things you named (basic maintance) there sure not be many problems. You may have to play with jetting though.

Re: crf150r advice

Wut type of riding do you do? And they dont quite have valve problems but like all mx 4 strokes, you should shim the valves every 8-12hrs. I'd say a big waste of your money if youre gonna ride it only 6hrs a month.

I'd suggest a full mod 150F or DRZ/KLX125 for flat track. The gears on a 150R run real short and wont get you too much speed without some gearing changes and a few other mods. The money spent on a 150R is more than enough to build a really tricked out 150F or 125....

Re: crf150r advice

Great bike...So far no valve probs to speak of...Just need constant shimming every now and then. Like I said, real short gears so I'm usually runnig on 5th gear at the track...And real torquey!!! Overall FUN BIKE!!!!!
