150r problems

i am really about too get a 150 but what i saw on thumpertlak made me think twice.. i heard that they had to have a huge amount of maintence because the higher rpms and the valve space gets bigger and bigger and you have to open the head up every 2 or 3 weeks of trail rideing. and trail riding is what im mainly gonna do with it(only been to a track once). would this bikes maintence be low if i trail ride with it? is the thing about the valves and cases and rpms true?

If I remeber correctly Yamaha is the only bike company who actually knew about a valve problem and decided to do something about it.Kawi and Honda just deny their valve problems in their big bikes.IMO Honda wont recall it.

You'll have to buy that latest issue for more but here's a link to their online test.

The head design uses adjustable tappets without shims. You prob will adjust as much as your 50's , like never.
