Complete Noob Hi everyone! My name is Jeff. I found this forum while searching for info on my '78 CT70. I have had the bike since I was 9, way back in '79. I rode it on and off until I was about 15. One day I couldn't get it started so it sat in the same spot in a storage building until yesterday. Needless to say, it still won't start , but I am working on it. I was amazed by some of the badass customization jobs done on some of these bikes. My first goal is to get this thing running again. This forum is a great source of information.

Re: Complete Noob WeLcOmE to pLaNeTmInIs! Let see some pictures. Your starting ills are most likely a carb problem, the points need adjusting or needs a new sparkplug. Does it give you a spark when you kick it over? If it does, move to the fuel delivery system. Good luck and let us know what happens on the CT70 forum.

Re: Complete Noob Thanks, SHW. I have started it, and it's on the road to recovery. Right now, it looks like I do need to adjust the points and probably replace the coil. It runs until the engine gets warm then sputters out. I'm going to drop the engine again this weekend to get at the coil and file down the points. I will try to take a few pics before I break it down again.
