Arrow 2008 Pit Bike Series

I hosted the Craig Webb Pit Bike Memorial race this past September to benefit the American Heart Association. This race was a total success and with the other non-pitbike events that I did, I raised $5000 for the AHA. While talking to riders and supporters of the event, it was asked if I could get together a three or four race series throughout the season. Looking for more of a "backyard" style event, not a big bike track. (Not that there is anything wrong with riding these bikes on a big bike track) Just looking to getting back to the origin of this sport. Maybe 50-60 riders or less type event. Anyone interested in hosting a race, please let me know by email. (jspider70@aol.com) My name is Jeff. There are a lot of details to iron out, sponsors to talk to, etc., and we have to start now so we can get the word out. I would like to get some responses by Dec. 1st, so I can guage whether or not the interest is there. Also, your event does not have to neccessarily be a benefit race for the American Heart Association, in fact, it doesn't have to be a benefit race at all. It would just be nice to donate the money to a charity.

Re: 2008 Pit Bike Series

Within 100 or so miles from Harrisburg, Pa. I'm open for any suggestions at this point. I don't want to put an exact mileage on it. If someone is willing to host a race and willing to put some time into it, then I would travel.

Re: 2008 Pit Bike Series

I now have another person interested in this series (30+rider responded about having a back yard national) I need one more person to step up to the plate and make this happen.

Re: 2008 Pit Bike Series

Working with John McBride with McBride Sports Accessories to get together a 6 race series next year. I will hold two at my place(spring and fall), at least one at 30+rider's place in Lancaster, Pa. There is also another possible track that is awesome that will hold a few. I will keep you all posted.
