| TDS16 Memorial Championship to be held Oct 28/29 in Las Vegas Aug 17, 2006, Copyright 2006, MiniGPX Information has slowly been trickling out the last few months about the TDS16 Memorial Championship. It is now a confirmed event on October 28th and 29th at the X-Plex (http://www.lasvegaskarting.com) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rich and Bern Santos are organizing the event and have confirmed that it will not just be a pocketbike event. Classes should include Pocketbike, MiniGP (NSR/NSF/YSR) and Motard classes. According to USMGP's Chuck Shorie they will be running their event during the weekend as well, "This event will also be the USMGP National Finals and should draw the best riders from all over the US! We will be awarding all the National Champions and the Metrakit Ride to the Super Production National Champion of the kids class! Should be a great weekend!" Event sponsors include: TDS16, USMGP, Alien Motors, City of Las Vegas Xtreme Sports, and Las Vegas Bail Bonds. For the people traveling to the area they may want to consider making a week of it. The SEMA show is also be in Las Vegas that week (October 31 - November 3rd). SEMA is the premier automotive specialty products tradeshow. Then spend some time at the Southern California parks, and hit the SCminiGP (http://scminigp.com/races) event the week after at California Speedway, getting two races in during a visit. Seems like a good vacation. here's the class details if any1 plans to run... http://www.speedreg.com/details/even...v=Y4TbC0G+/7I= |

| this may not be bad news, as alot of the guys say the XPLEX surface was too slick USMGP Vegas event relocates across town Sep 11, 2006, From a press release issued by USMGP It has been confirmed that the X-Plex Las Vegas has been closed permanently and will not reopen so our event scheduled for the end of October for the USMGP National Finals will have to be moved. The good news is we are working on staying in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The facility is nice but will require some structure changes in the schedule for the weekend. More news to follow! Chuck Shorie USMGP President |
