Thumbs down staggs

Declines future business with me because I have "attitude" and also declines to honor his warranty for defective parts. I paid in full for parts plus warranty. I did not receive what I paid for. Buyer beware, especially if you don't like being ignored when looking for warranty support. If you like "as is" purchases, go for it.

Not sure how specific I have to be.........the man does not honor the warranty.

The specifics are the kick starter that came with my motor is defective. The kick starter has a booger weld that keeps it from folding out too far and it folds right past it. There are other items that I didn't receive with my motor, but I made do.

So the punch line is...............vendor (staggs) did not honor warranty for my defective parts. Buyer beware staggs sold me a motor "as is".

The way you come on here and only tell your side of the story and bash people's name. It's no wonder why he doesn't want to do any future business with you. I hope in the future you handle problems in a more civilized way, man up and quit acting like a sniveling 2 year old.

Re: staggs

if you have a problem with a vendor and expect people to listen you need to act like an adult, post up details, his side of the story ect. ill bet right now staggs will come in here, tell us what really happened and we'll all see the truth

OH ANOTHER POST FROM YOU!
wow I see you left some stuff out. Let me rephrase this story and I will make it short.

Motor recieved

1 week after claims he is missing stuff. Parts sent and recieved.

Shortly after that email recieved about how the motor runs great!!!

then another email recieved he is still missing stuff (BUT I GOT ONE THAT IT WAS RUNNING GREAT), and on top of that insults my character and business ethics. I won't post the emails etc cause it is a waste of my time and the publics to read it. So like some he decides to post his story online and only show his side, but leave the insults etc out from him so everyone thinks bad about us.

Like i did say in my above email we have been around along time, we do take care of our customers both new and longtime and have a good reputation because of it.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS LEFT POSITIVE FEEDBACK. HARDLEY EVER DOES ONE WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE GOOD EXPERIENCES, ONLY THE BAD IF THEY DON'T GET THERE WAY AND HIS STORY JUST DOESN'T ADD UP. 99.9% IN THIS SITUATION I HELP THE CUSTOMER AND TAKE CARE OF THEM.

The motor did run great, with the bolts I scrounged out of my garage to mount the manifold and carb along with the replacement dispstick and gasket sent from ogm after I emailed sgr. Cool, I overlooked the missing bolts , I can handle that.
Then during my first ride out with my new OGM motor from SGR the kick starter failed. The kick starter is broken, from normal use ( I kicked the motor over and the weld stop failed, fold out lever turns 180 instead of 90). So I emailed SGR about my defective kick starter and while I was at it I asked for my bolts (since I have a warranty claim, might as well get my four stinking bolts) I also mentioned this post OGM_160_Problems
where Jeremiah said motors should come with cables (thought someone forgot my cables).
Exact quote from my original email on July 4 along with the preceding story:
"My primary concerns are the Kick starter and cables, but I would also appreciate a few bolts and o-ring washers if possible."

No response from SGR.

I emailed again on July 13, describing my problem with the kick starter and inquiring about the cables, no nastiness, insults or otherwise. I didn't even mention the missing bolts, just requested a warranty replacement for my kick starter and a response about the cables.

Again no response from SGR.

On July 18 I again emailed Jeremiah and asked him to please respond to this issue. Exact quote from my email to SGR:
"If you are not going to address the problems with the products you sell, please give me the name and contact information of the person who will address these issues."

WOW 2 weeks and I get a response! Here it is exactly:
" Ogm informed me you contacted him direct and he sent you 2 kick starters?. I
thought the motors came with cables but they no longer do.
Thanks,
Jeremiah"

Problem is I did not contact OGM and I did not get 2 kick starters. He has me mixed up with someone else.

This is the point were I got "attitude". Jeremiah got offended. So be it. I still have a nice running motor that I can't start. Warranty has not been honored. So in my experience with SGR the sale was "as is".

I don't believe I have bashed anyone's name. Just told a factual story about a bad experience with a vendor. Not sure how much nicer I could have been. How long should I wait for atleast a response. I couldn't care about future dealings with SGR, there are plenty of vendors selling chinese bike parts.

I would like to hear how you would handle this? You clearly think I'm wrong. Do you and Jeremiah really think I want to try and scam 4 bolts and cheesy ass kick starter? Seriously? I just want to start the motor.

On a final note OGM are you out there? I need a kicker.

Re: staggs

All i'm saying is that no vendor here is going to deny you a replacement "cheesy ass" kick starter and some bolts you can get anywhere unless you cop an "attitude" and insult them. A kick starter is no big deal and vendors here want to help people when they can because they want returning customers and Jeremaih is no exception.

How long would you wait to cop attitude? I waited 2 weeks without even a "hey I hear you, but I'm real busy" or "I'll talk to OGM" then I "copped attitude" and so what, grow a set! If your gonna be that fragile, maybe rethink your line of work.

I will take this one step further. The transaction I have with Jeremiah and the stated 30 day warranty on all parts is a legal contract and "copping attitude" and insults do not void legal contracts.

Well I know one vendor that will deny a guy a cheesy ass kick starter. A kick starter should be no big deal, but for SGR it sure is. For the record all of this character assassination and insults, I mean come on. I had the right. I said things like "your response time sucks". I used a few choice words about the cables coming with the motor or not, because I could not believe that a vendor would say when refering to OGM motors "motors should come with cables" OGM_160_Problems and then I got an OGM with no cables. I'm over it, just chalk it up to an honest mistake by Jeremiah. He probably sells hundreds of motors and has no idea what is even in the box. I mean really he never even sees the box that the motor comes in let alone what's in the box.

I tell you one thing that would help with the bolts and whatever else........an inventory sheet with your motor. Something that says number of bolts, gaskets, etc.. Then the vendor wouldn't call you a scammer when two weeks later when you get around to assembling the motor you find you are short 4 bolts.
