Cool Skyteam ST-90

I am currently looking at a brand new (2005 model) Skyteam ST-90, which is very similar to the ZB Honda series (?), I guess. I was wondering if anyone can tell me of the quality of the Skyteam replicas. Are they junk or is it worth the $1395.00 the guy is asking? It is new, 90cc Lifan engine, 4 speed manual minibike.

I am new to this site so I'd also like to say hello. I am a father of 2 daughters and own 2 Redcat Trail 90s (2005 models) and a 2005 CRF100. As you can probably tell, I enjoy and collect minibikes.

Thanks...and please let me know about the Skyteam ST-90 if anyone has some info in helping me make a decision.

welcome. i think a dealer on this site carries them with a gpx 124cc engine, which is very powerful right out of the box. theres just something about riding around like a gorilla on a kids bike...

WELCOME!

there's a few guys here who have them. I've not heard a bad word about them yet. If you buy it with a 90cc and end up wanting more power, a 124cc chinese clone engine bolts right in.

I'd contact Vince at TBolt before purchasing. He carries Skyteam and may have better pricing.

For reference, most consider them an OK clone of the ZB, the weld quality isn't as good, and some parts don't interchange making aftermarket upgrades a lil harder... but they are MUCH easier to track down than ZBs in the US, so if you like the style, go for it.

You will want to hop up the motor though... it's a bit of a dog out of the box, but it's saving grace, it's a 4spd box, so it can hit 45mph on it's own.

'Sup CTFire70 -

Something to consider, if you want to be street legal check locally to make sure you can do so with the Skyteam machine. Some posters here have had a difficult time trying to do so. In some states, it is easier to get a tag and register the mini as a scooter or moped if it is 49cc or under. Which will work out in the long run if you want to upgrade to a bigger motor like most have. The 50cc is cheaper than the 90cc.

Anyway, welcome and I hope you have success in your search for another mini.

Also the front disc brakes and ct70 style wheels! Good for the fat tire (not truck tire lol) conversion.

Make sure you get a lightning coil for the lights and you will need a bigger carb. 26 mm.Check link.

Re: Skyteam ST-90

I have one for sale and all the hard work has been done to it already. $1300. Check out the classifieds. It has a brand new 108cc, 4-speed, clutch motor in it that is Honda based, not chinese based.

ST90 For Sale...Street Legal. The motor that is in it in this video is not the motor in it anymore.

Yes the lightning coil. 1.21 jiggawatts should be enough.
