New (to me) ZB motor I picked up a Nice motor from a fellow PM member (thanks Justin) and am almost ready to fire her up. Oil cooler is way snug with the stock shoes but I will be swapping that out soon with some offset tripples and inverted forks. I am anxious to hear it run with my new pipe!

Re: New (to me) ZB motor LOL, that will get swapped soon I hope. I just want to run it and mock a few others goodies up before I strip the frame for the powder coater. I hope to have a real life build here real soon.

Re: New (to me) ZB motor Nice Nice motor. I would invest in a better back shock. Stock one really sucks. tmas

Re: New (to me) ZB motor Thanks, I did have a Lifan 150 with the Dayton-ish looking side cover. I had good luck with that motor, just wanted something a little stronger and better suited for the long haul. I am having a hell of a time deciding on a rear shock since Ohlin's are not to be had. I'm just not sure what I'll end up with. I still need to find a few odds and ends before then the real fun begins...

Re: New (to me) ZB motor Well I got to ride it a little today. Still have more jetting to do (bain of my life) but over all I was very pleased. Here is a quick clip although the audio sucks.

Re: New (to me) ZB motor Superness550, No, the DVR is in a cloth bag and that is inside a fanny pack. It is only picking up the louder sounds (and of course wind). I backed off the throttle when I noticed my old crusty neighbor step out and give me the stink eye. It's not perfectly jetted but close enough to give me a sense of how it runs. I was on my way to hit a canyon by my house for some twisties when I noticed my shifter getting sloppy. Then I reach for a gear and my shift lever was GONE! The allen for the push rod from my over rearsets vibrated out(shifter swinging down low) but thankfully I found it with almost zero damage. Lesson learned and I am very pleased with the motor. Thanks Dan, Brad and Justin.

| Re: New (to me) ZB motor I think I recognize those wheels and tires. Very purdy! That's gonna be a hell of a bike.

Re: New (to me) ZB motor I hear ya and to compound the issue, I am clocking in at 200 lbs these days. What are guys that were not lucky enough to get Ohlins running for rear shocks? Any suggestions would be really appreciated as rear shock is one of the major items I am missing.
