Re: How to install a big bore kit?

use a small zip tie, and just zip tie the chain to the cam sprocket and you won't have to realign it. that is a trick i figured out after my first big bore kit install.

+1, what he said. I also made a couple of marks with a paint pen to hedge my bets. I was scared to death I would hose it up but there are marks to lead the way. Go for it dude.

Re: How to install a big bore kit?

Another question. Is the high volume oil pump really neccesary ? Where to get it from? I looked, didn't find by myself.
Also, how long do i have to break in the new cylinder? Same long as the original motor?

You will need a high volume oil pump and the oil passageway in the case has to be enlarged.

Re: How to install a big bore kit?

Now, what size carb do i have to install when using 88cc kit?
Can i use the original one? It's a 18mm one, i think. Will, only putting bigger jets in, work?

Re: How to install a big bore kit?

if it is the 18mm it is an xr70 which would work fine. the 50 carb wouldn't work too well, but i heard a few people have done it.

Re: How to install a big bore kit?

Well it's a Skyteam pbr 50 original carburettor. What size would be good for 88cc, 20mm ?

Can the original Skyteam Pbr50 head be ported? Will it give any profit with 88cc kit? Is that doable by a mill?
