| Got my ST50 today, problems : ( Hey I got my ST50 some hours ago and i put it together. I gotta say it looks very good So I am asking for some help to find what's wrong. I suppose it is a ignition system related problem. It could be my fault as well, I have a limited knowledge about bikes, especially with 4-stroke engines. All I did was check the oil level, tank up gas, put the ignition lock to the "on" setting and use the kick. Any help would be much appreciated |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( Get a new dry sparkplug or let it dry, maybe it shorts out through the fuel. Does it have an electric starter? If not, check the kill-switch at the right side of the handlebars. Did you fold your sidestand in, the sidestand has a build in kill-switch. |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( Make sure your kickstand is not down...some of them have a kill switch that when you put the kickstand down it doesnt' spark. Also make sure the kill switch button is out. |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( I had the same problem a couple weeks back putting an xr70 together from parts. It turned out that I had crossed a blue and green wire at the connection point. The lights were dim in my shop and I couldn't see the colors that well. I found the mix up the next day in the light. |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( If you haven't done this yet, you can avoid 90% of the most common problems with china bikes by getting some threedlock and checking the rotor, sprocket, wheels etc. Replace any crappy hardware with lock nuts etc, and you will not have to worry about telling people how you got cast on your leg going 15mph on a minibike and you hit a parked car (when you looked down after hearing the loud sound your sprocket made as it stripped off the wheel and the chain flew off) I know that wasn't that scary, but it is more about avoiding feeling stupid for something so basic. My uncle lost his foot in a similiar accident, even though it was in vietnam and due to a land mine, you can see the potential for hurting yourself by looking down or not looking down You don't want to lose a foot and have put on a fake foot that works great and is lighter. | Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( I'll probably have to get a 125cc engine, new rear shock and rear disc brake. Other than that, I don't really have much plans. Maybe take off those stickers. I've tightened all screws, but it's probably a good idea to swap them for something better. It's not my pic, but mine's excactly the same : ) Pbr.jpg |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( Do you have the version with the rear sprocket bolted to the wheelhub or the older version with the sprocket held in place with a circlip like the CT/dax? If you have the older version, replace it with a honda dax/CT hub including the honda rubber dampers. On the honda hub the circlip sits in a steel groove instead of straight into the aluminum of the hub. That setup is much stronger if you are going to add more power. (With the honda hub you have much more choice of sprockets in comparison to the new bolted version) |

| Re: Got my ST50 today, problems : ( I have the new version with the sprocket bolted on the wheelhub. I can get 30, 35 and 42t sprockets from my Skyteam retailer. I don't know about front sprockets though. |
