I am by no means a great rider so you can take this for what its worth. When I started out in this highly addictive sport I bought an Orion 29 and an OPBS X3. I did the locktite thing and was very happy with the bikesand had a blast riding them. After I got better at riding and jumping I felt the suspension was lacking and they didnt shift all that great. I now have two Pitsters and the difference is huge. The pitsters feel more like a small dirtbike and the orions feel just like heavy playbikes. My two daughters now ride the Orions and they work great for them, I haven't had any problems with them but if they are ridden hard I dont think that would be the case.

Depending on your riding style there is not one specific bad item. It is a number of things that will start to fail and you will have to replace them. The metal is very porous for one thing. But here is a list of things you may want to change.
1. foot pegs and mounts
2. handle bar and grips
3. levers clutch and brake
4. foot brake
5. tires
6. shock
7. forks
8. throttle and cable
9. clamps
10. carb.
11. graphics

this is just a very quick stab at it!

Re: orion pit bikes

nope they are not bad bikes, I'd even consider them a decent medium quality bike, I'm simply saying that once I went to a motovert I can't go back. If you want one of the best orion delears around call TNT pitbikes, the owner is the same guy who owns TDK motovert and he's awesome with customer service and pricing.

PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM ANYONE ELSE UNTIL YOU'VE TALKED WITH HIM. You will regret it when your warrenty runs out and the bike starts to fall apart on ya. Tommy from TNT pitbikes will keep you up and running for cheap.

PM me for his number.
