| I have a Sikkmx 125XL that i spend more time working on than riding and knew that would be the case when buying it but now its gettin really old. I want to do local races and at least want a 150 that wont break frames. Im on my third frame so I guess I ride pretty hard and have never seen the pitsters or SSRs which are the bikes im interested in and would just like to get some feed back from people that own them. I weigh 175 and my price range is around 2k. What risks are there in buying a used one? |

| Re: Need help to decide which reliable pitbike to buy?? Both companies make good bikes, as well as OGM, Thumpstar, and Motovert. I myself have a SSR X3 with a 12/10 set up and love it. I havent had any problems what so ever. Some people will say go with Pitster, some will say go with SSR, some will say go with OGM. Its all over the board. I think you should decide if you want a 50 base or a 110 base bike first. There are some very good dealers on here that can help you out, which I would stick with if I were you since the support will be far superior than anywhere else. Hope that helps! |

| Re: Need help to decide which reliable pitbike to buy?? Get a motovert 150 pro from TDK. They sell for right around that and it's a hell of a bike. |

| Re: Need help to decide which reliable pitbike to buy?? The bikes mentioned above will all work well. I have the OGM and I race it and I'm over 200lb, so if I haven't broken it, I doubt you will. I'm really happy with it. |

| Re: Need help to decide which reliable pitbike to buy?? If you are racing, you need to pick a class then get your bike. I abused my Vert at a pay to ride place and it came through with no problems at all! I am sure the other brands which are all almost the same are just as good. I suggest TDK just on service alone, Tommy makes this hobby so FUN! |

After you buy a bike the problem isnt gonna be i should have got the 110 over the 50 or 70 or what ever its gonna be i should have go with brand X cause they have really good customer service. its a pit bike its not made with 100's of man hours, stuff is gonna need replacement and you dont wanna spend more time with your parts then with the bike.

| Re: Need help to decide which reliable pitbike to buy?? Not on a motovert bro, those things are better than the stock x4, My buddy has an x4 2008 and I've studied it real close and the vert is simply put together better. TDK replaced my whole rear break assembly because they didn't think I needed to bleed them right out of the crate. |

See now I was the opposite. I had nothing but problems with my X4. Got rid of it and got the SSR X3, and have never looked back. Call it luck of the draw, who knows.
