my xtreme sand bike!

---Sorry if the pics dont work, im using a mates PM account as I dont remeber the password for mine----

I dont know if you guys have these over in the States, I got this as a roller branded as an xsport/xtreme bike last year over in the UK.

Having ridden this most of the summer as a play bike, and then choosing not to sell it - but instead keep it for "mudding" in the winter - I decided it needed a service as it had started to get a bit squeaky and soft.

So its had new brake pads, new fork oil, spring spacers for the forks, new top end gaskets, oil change, new bearings for the wheels, new head tube bearings and a complete rebuild.

I also added a few bits like the brake pedal, new pegs, wheel strengthening rings etc after bending most of the stock parts.

And finally gave it some new hoses and striped/laquered the swinger and subframe. All ready to see if the tyres work aswell in mud as sand!

- There are still a few bits to be finished, chain needs cleaning/lubing, cables need routing, plastics need fitting, brakes etc etc

Re: my xtreme sand bike!

That thing is beautiful! What are those tires from? Did you have to make the swinger wider for fitment?

I just noticed the jack shaft... Cool!
Brings back memories of Briggs and Stratton powered mini bikes.

Re: my xtreme sand bike!

Thanks for the comments

To answer the questions:

The ignition cover was from a UK seller on ebay - but I think ahpminis does them too - I almost ordered another one from Mark the last time I placed an order with him.

The swinger/sprockets/clamps/wheels were all supplied with the bike from xsport/xtreme - I have done very little modification work to it, just striped the swinger and laquered it.

Finally - I made the rings on the wheels myself. I build quads/atvs and we use them alot on the quads instead of beadlocks. I just made them on a CAD program, used a plasma cutter to cut them and then welded them in place.

I can email you the CAD designs if you want them.

You could try "Xtrememotorco" but I dont know whether they still make them, they are no longer sold in the UK.

You dont need the whole bike as the frame, plastics, engine etc are all just standard cr3/crf50 parts. Only the forks/swingarm/wheels are different.
