I have the yx160 GPX version and the original intake manifold. I now have the TB28 and there isn't enough clearance to make it fit in there. What have people done to make this fit in there?

You are better off fitting a crf intake on it cause it will help the carb sit flat. This requires a wedged intake spacer.

I have this same setup. I changed the angle of the flange where it bolts to the head. I sanded it on a belt sander until I got the angle right. Just do it a little at a time until it fits and make sure it stays flat so no air leaks. If it doesnt work for you, buy new parts and do it right like magic said.

doing that would require you to redrill the holes right?

jarred, did you get the tb28 carb kit that specifically for the yx head?

I just got the carb...no kit. I need a 10mm spacer or so. Got it ordered and i'll be running by th eend of the week.

I don't have a tb28 on my yx160 but I've had success by cutting down the cooling fins to fit my oko 26.
