Exclamation the main jets or the pilot jets, that is the question

i just put that FMF 4.1 pipe on my bike and i need to jet it. the bottom end is super rich. the bottom of the plug is black too. i pulled the main and pilot jet (mikuni 24mm) and the main is a 95 and the pilot is a 15. so what should i do???? also, were do i get these type of main and pilot jets?? the local motorsports shop doesnt carry them. let me know everyone. thanks

pilot = Idle/low speed
Main = high speed

By putting on a aftermarket pipe it would generally lean things out, not rich. If your bottom end is rich then try to make the adjustments from your air/fuel mixture screw, or may possibly have to go down on the pilot. Maybe include few details on your motor.

If it seems the bog/hesitate, its probably lean. Does it pop on decel? hard to start? those are all signs of a lean condition

I think his bog is coming from richness.......like if you're at idle and go WOT it kills the bike by flooding it..... try a 90 and a 12 with needle clip in the middle.......you're plug should be tan or close to white...both in the threads and on the tip.....

Bog=rich
Whine=lean
You most likely will have to jet up with a new pipe install.
pilot jet= low end
Main= 1/2 to 3/4 throttle
Need= WOT

You want your plug tan to brown. Better a little rich than lean. Lean= hot hot hot, not good for air cooled engines.

What exactly do you mean by whine?

I know before i rejetted my crf150, it was lean and if I quickly wacked the throttle it would bog

Try adjusting your fuel screw, if it's more than 2 or 2 1/2 turns out then you need a richer pilot, if it is less than 1 turn out then you need a leaner pilot. you want to be between 1 and 2-2 1/2 turns out.

dude i told u i have jets sitting here

my gut says since you put on a better pipe your flow is increased ,so try lowering the needle clip to raise the needle first if you cant get
try go up one on the main

there quite a few different motorcycling sites that explain the whole jetting process
