In-line oil filter setup

ok, i hate the oil slinger... the bottom line is its not that great. How would an in line oil filter work? I have an oil cooler on my yx 150 and i was thinking, why cant i just throw on a fuel filter? Anyone tried this? I would like to use a paper filter because they filter the most crap out. I might try to design something and then fab it. Let me know what you think.

we already have an oil slinger elimination kit that adds an inline oil filter.

Re: In-line oil filter setup

i dont know, but wouldn't a fuel filter be too fine to let oil flow fast enough?

Paper fuel filter would be too restrictive.

Re: In-line oil filter setup

well that settles it. Im going to fab something up that filters it and doesnt restrict the flow to the oil cooler. It will take me a few days but i will post a bunch of pics and maybe make a few extra to sell or just give the plans so that people can build it themselves.
