Re: help a noob please. thanks...well I have 14 up front and 37 in the rear...and its 2.5 for every tooth in the back right so I could get the 41 rear and the 18 front right..? I prefer torque over speed honestly because I ride trails and all that fun stuff so what do you think? thanks for the help!.

Re: help a noob please. Ok, your setup now is 2.64, so your front goes around 2.64 times for every 1 time the back goes around. With a 18/41 setup your looking at 2.27, so you will have more top speed. If you like the torque more I would reccomend a 15, then your ratio would be 2.73:1. If you really like torque, keep the 14, it will be 2.92:1. You should buy the 41 and 15, and experiment between the 15 and 14 front. It will also take some slack out of your chain.

Re: help a noob please. What kind of terrain do you ride? I like kenda, they have tires for all terrain. Their southwick is good for sand, their milville is for Intermediate, and carlsbad is for harder terrain, and they have washougal, I forget what its used for. I have the milville on my 140, and it did allright in the sand dunes. It hooks up good everywhere Ive ridden it. Its startin to chunk up a little, but its from the rocks in my yard.

Re: help a noob please. How do I go about upgrading a carburetor. does it say on the carb what size it is and is it hard to tune with a different one? what will upgrading cause? more speed, acceleration..? thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Re: help a noob please. For that type of terrain I would reccomend the milville, thats what I have on mine and it grips great. To measure the carb, you need calipers. and you need to measure the inner diameter on the intake side as close to the slide as you can. some are oval shaped, in which case you measure height and width and average them. I would highly reccomend a mikuni VM26 carb. I just bought one and it makes a HUGE difference. It has way better throttle response, and it gives the engine more power everywhere. I bought mine used for $90, and I had to buy a $20 intake adaptor boot from tbolt, and I have about $27 in jets. I would recomend getting one if you have the $. But get the real one, there are LOTS of 26mm imitators, like the ones on ebay. Tbolt has the real ones, and if you want to buy one from somewhere else, compare to tbolts.

Re: help a noob please. thanks for the help...I will probably start looking for a carb by the end of next month...I still have to order the sprocket..just waiting on the paycheck. so a carb from what size bike would equal to the one you have?? this is a 110 cc btw ...and if it comes down to it i might just buy the one off of tbolt. I have to see if I can get my hands on a used one.

Re: help a noob please. there are some used ones, you just gotta look in all the classifieds. I got mine from the klx classifieds. This is a 26mm carb, it may be overkill for your 110, it might not be, Im not sure. Like I said earlier, there are alot of imitators that are fake vm-26's, make sure you buy the real one. This carb is fairly easy to tune, If you know what jets to get. Make sure with the carb you get, 1. a 26mm manifold (the bigger carb means nothing if you cant get all 26mm's to the engine), 2. a rubber adaptor for chinese manifolds (can be had on tbolt for 20 bucks). 3. make sure your exhaust pipe is bigger than 26mm too. 4. throttle cable (if your old one doesnt work). 5.some extra jets (odds are the ones in the carb you get are not the right ones). hope this helps, if you have any more q's just ask, thats what this site is for.

Re: help a noob please. thanks dude...I should just call u professor lol jea I will see when I get there...I don't ride the bike all that hard so it should handle a little boost right? I don't know how long she will last. so a klx carb is a 26mm? I want to try to get as much power out of that thing as I can before it blows up..this is my way to learn. yeah I will start researching this and see what I can get my hands on. thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

![]() There is a specific 26mm carb you want though. You want a real vm26-606. they are not make/model specific, and you can run one on anything. you can still run other carbs, but for the money, the vm 26 is best bang for buck. if you want power, get some torco 110. you will have lots of power, and then it will stop real fast | |

Re: help a noob please. IMO a 26 will be WAY to much for that UNDER powered 110 knocker to handle. the vm26 kit will cost as much as the bike!

Re: help a noob please. hhahaa well I still have to set the money aside to buy this stuff. so what would be a good size carb if the 26mm is too much? if I call tbolt can they put w/e size carb I want on the kit??, and yes they are pricy, but oh well I'll have an extra carb if the bike dies hahah. and yeah im gonna try this 41 rear sprocket with the 14 front haha see how it works and probably in like two weeks order another one with a couple more teeth one it haha like I said previously I just want to get rid of the stupid chain roller.I think im gonna build one from the ground up this winter while I have nothing to do and get all decked out parts for it..since im in the chinese bike game now hahha I really appreciate the help guys.

Re: help a noob please. bump back from the dead.. I finally got around to installing the sprocket. i had to weld it onto the old one to make it work it was a PITA trying to line it up, but I finally got it after precision measurement, but now the chain is to tight I might need to add a link or two. I will post pics tomorrow to show what i did...any other input on what to do with this thing (other than trash it) would help. thanks everyone.
