Gpx177 ?? Isn't this taking some of the fun out of the whole pitbike thing? If you want that much power you should be riding a real bike, not a pitbike. I have considered trying to race a pitbike, but figure that since I only have a 125 that it would be pretty much pointless with motors like these around. Kinda like running a 450 in a 150 class. There needs to be some type of motor classification very soon. While I think a motor like this would be cool in a pitbike, it really doesn't make much sense. ![]()

Re: Gpx177 ?? In most cases it is supply and demand, in this case it is demand and supply. Not everyone needs or wants a big engine, but when someone ask for one, someone will be there to fill the need. We currently do fill those request. Our 177,180,184, 192s have proven strong and reliable. You probably will not like my 208cc GPX engine We are currently working on now? Last edited by NCC; 08-30-2008 at 08:21 PM.

Re: Gpx177 ?? I can see the want for a big engine, but it's getting (or gotten) out of hand in the competition department. I see the same thing happening with pitbikes that I saw happen with paintball a few years back. The guns went electronic, the rate of fire went thru the roof, and the fun went out the door. It's happening here also and you vendors are to blame.....

Re: Gpx177 ?? That's not true, look at the major car companies. They still pump out a lot of V8 engines. Some customers want or need them. Just like NCC said. Supply and Demand. I still think racing should be by engine class, size however.

Re: Gpx177 ?? minirdr I'm not crying, but what you just said proves my point exactly. I want a GPX150. Personally I feel that should be about the limit for competition. Anything bigger is not a "pitbike" anymore. Last edited by rlm996; 08-30-2008 at 09:22 PM.

Re: Gpx177 ?? True, but they aren't bumping the displacement every year (or month) to try and out do each other. Could you imagine a stock street worthy Mustang with a 10 liter V8? Sure it would be cool, but geeze.

Re: Gpx177 ?? NCC when are you going to start selling all those parts and stuff at tbolt? You not having problems with high cc motors? Or are you just running a de-comp?

Re: Gpx177 ?? really? how bout the 500hp v series caddy's or the 7 liter corvette or the viper v-10 or w-12 quad turbo bugatti veyron they're always doing it and they are using turbos and superchargers and upping displacement but in the racing world there are motor regulations and I think they need to add another class in the pitbike world

Re: Gpx177 ?? Yes, there are ultra high hp cars out there but they don't all run in the same class............this is my point. Not one of the cars that you mentioned would race against a Mustang. The Vette, Viper, and Bugatti are all GT1 cars. Not sure about the Caddy. A Mustang is only a GT3, or GT2 at best. Last edited by rlm996; 08-30-2008 at 09:56 PM.

Re: Gpx177 ?? I agree but this topic is so vast theres no way to satisfy it, i always thought it would be great to limit the 10in bikes to a 124cc max and limit the 12in bikes at 165cc max
