compatibility yx150 (inner rotor) and TB performance cdi ?

Hi All

I did buy a trailbikes performance cdi but I cant get it to work.
My yx 150cc has a inner rotor kit , is it possible that the trailbikes cdi only works with outer rotors?

thanks in advance for you help

Penumbra

ps: feel free to ask more info...

yes indeed my engine came with the inner rotor kit but the cdi that came with it stops at around 10.800 rpm and so I need a box that allows higher revs...

Dude i dont think you really want to make your yx rev out past that. Its greatest power comes from its midrange as do most engine, anything higher is just overkill and will wear down your engine.

10800 is soft :P rev that beast

on that note, any of the lifan/jialing irk cdi's would do your trick.

Thats not a rev limiter, that's your motor topping out due to either valve springs, jetting, or just off the power enough that it can't spin further.

At what rpm do the valves start to float? You might need stronger springs in that.

Ok, whats so bad about the irk? so far it seems like not very many people like it.... is it the reliability or performance that no one seems to like?

I have the excect same motor(krp yx150) that u bought in my x4 for the last 4 months it gets either ridden or raced every weekend and have had 0 problems with the motor or the irk,it takes some gettin used to if ur comming off of a motor with a flywheel but i like it alot better....just my 2 cents worth
