hey i got a jailing 140 with bvh its been runing good all year untill yeasterday i whent out riding it was runing grate then suddenly it startd runing like **** kinda like when it gets a little water on the filter but their was no water around it was dry so i shut it off let it cool down it wasnt even that hot then i go to start it it woulnt start then finally it startd i go to ride it then it stalls out wouldnt start agen filly got it runing and got it home it wasnt runing all that bad but going up hills it would run ****y and cut out but i still got it back to my buddies and i couldnt get it startd agen to ride home. its got good compresson still idk where to start have you guys had anything like this happen. thanks

check everything spark, fuel, air....clean the carb check all the electrical check the feul liness...idunno do w/e u gotta do to get it werkin

take the filter off
if you have access to an air compressor take it and blow air thru the overflow line and once you have a steady stream of guel comin out the back of the carb try to ride it
if that doesnt work start goin thru everything
make sure wires are connected snug and check the plug
make sure no wires are touchin the frame and shortin out

make sure your fuel cap is breathing

k i just checkd over everything put a new pluge in cleand the carb kick and kickd it it started for like 5 seconds reaved up high the hole time and stalld and wont start agen

yea i took the carb apart and blew it out with the air compresser and used carb cleaner

If you have one of those little short breather hoses on the top of your cap check that. The little metal part gets plugged a lot and doesn't let the fuel run down from the tank. Just pull it off and try running it without it.

check the throttle cable as well if its stuck wide open maybe its suckin up too much fuel and floodin

no the carb is good and i dont have one of thoghs hoses its got to be somthing other then the carb

try starting it with the gas cap off. verify your needle clip hasnt fallen off. verify your air screw setting.

are your valve clearances good? lotta times it wont run right if theres something screwed up in the valvetrain.

i was thinking that too but why would it go from runing good to runing like **** and then not runing at all

check your ground wire...my buddies sdg did the same thing...the wire was actually broken and just arcing from time to time and it would start...run...die...also make sure the fuel screw is not missing from your carb, it will let your bike run at w.o.t and it will die shortly thereafter

I have no idea, same thing happened on my 450. I was at the sand dunes and it was runnuing great, shut it off, it was a b***h to start. checked the clearances, and they were zero'd. The valve probably was out of spec before, and then something happened to push it that little extra. I unno just my $.02
