Calling all LA area street plated mini riders out for a trip to the Rock Store. Everyone is invited, and you should be have a legit bike, but I won't care if you show up on anything questionable Check out these threads of previous rides some of us have been on: Malibu , Griffith and Echo park , Griffith ObservatoryPlan of attack: Meet up at PCH and Sunset Blvd around 8 AM Sunday, free street parking is available on Sunset Blvd. Fuel up, take PCH to Topanga canyon, up Frenwood, to Tuna Cyn back to PCH then head up Las Flores to Schuren rd to Stunt, Mulholland, then stop at the Rock Store for a frosty beverage and some bench racing. Continue on Mulholland, go down Kanan to Latigo to PCH, up Malibu Cyn, to Piuma which turns into Las Flores back to PCH and on to Sunset. We can cut some roads out as we need to, so people can go on with their lives, etc. If you have suggestions post them up. ![]() Last edited by hooptytank; 06-24-2008 at 12:24 AM.

Re: Rock Store and Malibu, street plated ride Sunday 6/28 I'm in. Eddie, I can drive you. HondaZrider can't make it on Sunday because he works. I think he can only go Saturday. He has some buddies with some street minis. It would be interesting to invade the Rockstore with all of them. From his PM to me: "My friends have abunch of different minis, some ct70's in the mix, Yamaha dt & gt 100's and 80's and a couple xl 80's."

Re: Rock Store and Malibu, street plated ride Sunday 6/28 NO, NO, NO...that won't work Take the plate to kinkos, have them reduce it to 1/2 size and laminate it. Duct tape a flashlight to your bars and a red flasher to the rear fender Steal your mom's or girlfriends makeup mirror and zip tie that somewhere. Now you can roll out. But seriously, I'd give you props if you showed up. as far as getting burned, maybe, maybe not. Malibu sheriffs don't have a good sense of humor.

Re: Rock Store and Malibu, street plated ride Sunday 6/28 Saturday maybe, sunday maybe, I may not be able to go at all. I ran into a small problem. changed out the clutch springs on my engine, after I put it back together it was knocking, like a rod knock, it's loudest near the top of the cases above the crank, closer to the right side, clutch in or out, in gear or neutral doesn't matter. took it all apart 3 times, rechecked everything. I did notice the tip of the screwdriver i was using to jam between the crank and primary gears when unbolting the oil slinger came out a bit shorter, but I found that broken off piece and removed it. Checked all the gear teeth, nothing. maybe I didn't find the whole tip, I thought i did though, it wasn't making this noise before. I might have to split the cases to see WTF is going on. NOT GOOD! anyone have a lifan 120 crank???
