Re: Your choice for 12" DOT approved street tires? Not many options right now. Most are in short supply. BT601ss is top notch, then the Dunlop tt92 or Sava MC31. speedmotoco or mmracing should have something.

| Re: Your choice for 12" DOT approved street tires? Sava MC31s are not DOT, and would wear out real fast on the street, they're a softer compound than either the Bridgestones or Dunlops.

Re: Your choice for 12" DOT approved street tires? Shinko has some decent DOT street tires sized 110/90-12". We bought 3 sets from Stillwaterxtreme when it was owned by Guy Cooper, they work well in the dirt, and decent on a kart-track, very good on the street. They last for ever. We have them on Xtreme CRIIs............ One bike is a practice bike used on a dirt track and a loaner bike for friends at the local kart track, the other bike has been sitting but was used on Kart-Tracks, Patrick might have it back on the track but i haven't talked with him in months.......

Re: Your choice for 12" DOT approved street tires? Heidenau K61's. The profile is excellent on my 2.15" rims and they stick like glue and last a good long time. I think the profile is an important consideration when using tires made for a wider rim. I tried the Schwalbe Paceman tires and they didn't work out because they are made for a wider rim(3.5") and don't jive well on mine.

Re: Your choice for 12" DOT approved street tires? So are you riding this on the street or racing it? theres a huge difference with tires under these conditions......... You want performance but for racing or street riding? And cool looks only counts if you podium, otherwise your just another "cool looking" poser........
