little help getting my fifty street ready?

Hey guys i am new to this site but have had my bike for a few years. its an 04 sdg speed mini. i have since changed out the motor with some random chinese 125cc engine which runs well(much better than the bent valved sdg 107cc). here in north carolina the dmv states that if the "scooter" is under 50cc and has all necessary lights/dot approved tires, it can be ridden on the street without any registration or insurance. im not worried about hiding the displacement at this time since it will not be inspected.

so my questions are these:
-i currently have a 12inch front wheel and the rear is a 10. i noticed just about everyone runs the same size wheels with street tires. should i go back to a 10 inch front or buy a 12 inch rear? would a 12 inch rear even fit?
-what tires do you guys recommend for either wheel set-up? i need something that will grip well but last. bike will be ridden in light rain and maybe some light dirt/gravel terrain.
-the bike is fairly torquey as is but has no top end what so ever. what is the common/recommended front & rear sprocket size used to get a higher mph?
-and lastly, i was planning on purchasing the baja designs kit but because i dont need inspection i think i can save money and not get the battery and stator. the pitster light kit seems like it would suffice.

sorry so many questions but the help is greatly appreciated. thank you
-Alex

From what I have read 12" wheels and tires will handle better. As for 12" tires for the street I have no clue. Dunlop TT92 are the track tire of choice though.
Your engine has no top end cause the cam is very mild in the cheap china engines (except the YX).
Everything else I have no clue on. Hope this helped a little.

If your swinger is a +5 you won’t have any problems with a 12 rear. 12 rear would also mean more top end power. Do the 12 rear.

Stay with the 10/10 this will work best with your motor. Tires are cheep look for some IRC MB38 cost is under $15 each. Gearing look for a 16F and a 33rear.

Re: little help getting my fifty street ready?

damn i already bought a 17 tooth front sprocket but i do currently have a 16t on the bike right now. im not sure of the rear size but i can tell you that first gear is extremely short. will 12inch wheels significantly hurt me? i only ask this because i already ordered a 12 inch rear wheel assembly but i may be able to cancel it if necessary. i have both a 10 and 12 inch front wheel so that is no issue.
thanks

The larger wheel will be better for street handling. Plus, a larger diameter rear tire is like gearing the bike taller - you'll gain more top speed.
