Im building a 50 that I plan on riding in the street (hopefully one day legally). Im looking at a pair of billet wheels 12/10 and i think the widths are 1.6 for both. Can I use these wheels or is a wider 2.15 REQUIRED? Motard experts and anyone riding a street legal mini please comment.

Re: Best Street Wheel Setup Normally you want the same diameter wheel front and rear with street riding. I have 10x2.15 front and rear which works awesome even with the crappy cheng shin tires I have. My girl's bike has the stock width 10" rims on a crf50 with good street tires and it rides like crap compared to mine. i think 10x2.15" is pretty much where it's at for street. I like the narrow wheels for dirt tho.

Re: Best Street Wheel Setup I was just saying you want the same diameter wheels. Normally you go wider in the rear to put big power to the ground. On a 50 2.15 front and rear works awesome since it doesn't make any real power. In fact wider than 2.15 will not only slow you down, but it eliminates any chance of backing the bike in if you do have good brakes and real power.
