TB 170cc Bore Kits for YX/OGM/GPX 150cc

Here are the new TB bore kits - skirtless cylinder with lightweight piston, and 170cc when bolted onto a stock YX 150cc engine. On the 160cc engines your piston skirt will stick 5mm out of the cylinder dropping into the cases so TB will not be selling these for or warrantying these if your putting them on the 160cc cranked engines.

KLX guys - These same kits are selling for the KLX's and will turn your engine into a 165cc if your rocking the stock crank still.

So its not going to be able to run on the 160 cranks motors or just not safe?

Its a reliability issue with the piston skirt sticking down 5mm into the cases, ring lands are sealed in the cylinder at all times, they end about 8mm from the top of the piston.

KLX motors you will get 165cc out of the new TB skirtless bore kit. Will update original posting with KLX info after I get some orders boxed up so you dont need to scroll to get to it.

yes its the same as runing a 178 scut with a 55mm .

No just the 160cc it drops into the cases 5mm.

Listen Hack I used a caliper as I lowered the piston into the bore this morning to check this out, if you say its 4mm then so be it, my caliper gave me 5mm by eye when I measured it up.

Everyone please just see the first post at the top of this Vendor ad for the info and why TB is electing to label them as 150cc bore kits.

ok well if it is 4mm it should be ok as the 195klx engines i did the takegawa scut drops in the klx cases 4mm and so far they have held up. no i am not sure what the TB piston looks like but i am assuming the pin heigth is the same. does TB piston use 1 ring?

To put a 4mm drops with a 178 in a klx you need to bore the cases.

No its the typical TB ring setup, I will try to get a horizontal pic thats of good enough quality to post up but you can see from the product photo if you save it and then zoom in.

ok, ya i see in the pics it has 2 rings. wonder what the pin heigth is, bet it is taller than the scut, huh. well the yx150,188cc scut we did still lives and runs strong maybe someone will be a test dummy and try it on the 160 and see how long it lives.
