Re: Decomp cams for the r head and v2

What would be the main diff in the s25 vs the s20 in a V2 Head ported and polished?
Its my understanding that the V2 comes with a s20? Is that correct?

Re: Decomp cams for the r head and v2

basicly maks it easier to kick.
im not positive, but i think it retards the cam timing, leaving int valve open to bleed off some cyl pressure.
when it fires the linkage locks it back where it should be.

Decomp is a decompression realease process = start by hand starting

Re: Decomp cams for the r head and v2

Depends on the motor setup for the grind you want. Like my bro is running a 160cc yx and everyone recommended the s35 grind. Cause higher cc's eat up the lift and duration.

Re: Decomp cams for the r head and v2

That makes sense. Im usually just cruisin around on the street and wont be zingin it all the time.
Right now its a monster all over but gets an extra little kick right around 4000, kinda vtechish.
Thinkin thats where intake, ports, cam, and exhaust all get happy.
I would prefer clutch-burnin roll-on wheelie torque as opposed to top end
hp, but small cam in big valve/port head might make it unhappy.
Any ideas? rob
