Since I probably hate people bumping old threads more than anyone else, I've though of an idea to keep it at a minimum. I'm on a bmx forum, and you have to have 50 post to be able to post in the classified threads, but you can still pm them. So my idea is to steal that idea of having to have 50 post, to post in the classifieds..

I think its a good idea... maybe make it 100-200 or you had to be member for longer then 3 months.

I was thinking even being active for like a month or something too.. Just something to stop it all ya know?

Still not as easy as having only the original poster being able to bump it, or update to answer valid questions. Converse with the seller via PM's or email, since the rulez say it's gotta be listed

Yeah, but what happens when the original poster doesn't come on here anymore? Have a mod do something? pfff please

Then it gets buried, like it should! Most of the ones that get dragged up are started by non-active members.

And if not, one item per ad since many aren't on the ball enough to edit their original list to show what's gone, and multiple item threads get pages long, as it is.

I think they should just expire after a month or so. It would also clear up alot of space on the site.

I wouldn't say more mods. I'd just say, get mods who will actually sign in everyday. Jetsled or whatever hasn't signed in since may..

Why not have it so that all the posts stay in the same position that they were made in. Even if someone posts in the thread it wont move to the top of the forum? This will leave a chronological order of the posted classifieds.

If you mean what I think you mean, than the bump will become useless. No one would really look at the other post especially if you make a thread, don't sell anything for a month and have to get it to the top you couldn't.. Ya know what I'm sayin'?
