OK so maybe a bit dramatic, but I will not be riding anything other than a wheel chair for a while.
I was up in Whistler BC Canada this past week for a Mountain bike event. While there I got the chance to ride everyday for a few hours during lunch and at the end of the day. On Friday afternoon I was riding my brand new Santa Cruz V10 DH bike on the A-Line trail (think 160 jumps in less than 5 min.) and on a take off the bike got kicked really weird sending me much higher and farther than expected. I impacted the face of the next jump with such force that it shot my femur through my pelvis and broke the socket of my pelvis (called an Acetabular fracture). I spent 5 days in the hospital in Vancouver after surgery early that Saturday morning which required several titanium plates and screws to put my pelvis back together, and I have a 16" incision on my left leg to my butt that has over 100 staples in it. To top it all off, I have been training really hard for Texas in a few weeks and was riding the best I ever have, but now will not be able to ride for 4-6 months!!
I will work hard to recover ASAP, but you guys stay safe out there.

Goodness man! That is one sick injury, Im just glad your still alive and for the most part well! Keep your head up through recovery!

HOLY SH!T !!!!!!!!!!! thats about all I have to say!!!

My cuz had the same thing happen... and I was going to say he has a big scar from it and chics dig scars... but HOY F*** you have him beat by about a trazillion times!!!!

Hope everything goes well... hey can you still do suspension from your whizzle chair?
