Gas Mileage

A couple of weeks ago my so called insignificant other complained about the mileage on her XB. It only gets 37mpg. She wanted more. Just like ALL women. She wanted a scooter or moped to ride. I was talking to my next door neighbor about this when he said I have a old motorcycle in the barn and you can have it if you want it. I thought it would be some old Jap bike with a million miles on it. It was a 1968 BSA Starfire with 1800 miles on it! He had kept it clean and basically rust free. We pumped air in the tires and rolled it over to my house. He told me he bought it in July of 1968 and rode it awhile until his mom found out about it and made him park it. He is 56 and bought when he was 16. The bike was under covers and had the normal oil leaks for this BSA. Tomorrow I will put a battery in it and clean the carb and points. The cables need lube but still move but with some creaking on the clutch and front brake cable. This bike should get her around 78-85 mpg.

Btw

I also picked up two Cushman's and a Powell from him also for free

I hate you.

And please for the love of god, DO NOT let that damn woman of yours touch that Starfire. Give her the Cushman, and keep the BSA for someone that isn't worried constantly about how their hair looks while riding.
