winter riding?

I'm looking into getting a drz or klx pitbike and was just wondering if i would be able to stud up the tires and go out on the lake when its frozen. Ive done with my big bike and liked it but i was just curious to see if i could do it with a pitbike. Thanks

Re: winter riding?

Yes you can, It's a great time. I been doing it for years now, just use like 1/2 or 5/8's studs.

Re: winter riding?

Mostly what we call the Holmes Rd pits, map quest Utility Drive, Pittsfield,MA its just out of lenox and his all the way down the hill under the bridge second gate on the left. Big bike and Minis are fun there. And we do BMX trails too.

Re: winter riding?

i am just over the border... Canaan NY. I am really looking for people to ride with. I have a track at my house that is both big and little bike friendly. Last year i had my X4 out on Laurel and Queechy lakes as well as Goose Pond. They are a blast on the ice!

Re: winter riding?

i too have had little time to ride this summer, my x4 is down with a tranny gear problem at the moment as well. We will have to get together in the next few weeks. I am happy to find other mini riders, there are quite a few around the chatham area.
