timing chain troubles

hey i put a new tb cam in my stock head and its all buttoned up except im trying to get the sprocket for the timing chain back on and it wont budge onto the little slot for the cam any tips of putting it back...id greatly appreciate it before i brake something

you need to reset the chain tensioner

yea i just figured that out im doing an engine rebuild with no service manual...go figure

yea I did the same thing in my 110 I like the TB cam makes it a fun stocker with a littler more power everywhere

hey wut marks do u line for the timing im rebuilding my topend and putting a new cam chain in and when i took it apart it the marks didnt match

ok well set the engine at top dead center and there should be a dimple on the stock cam have that facing towards the front wheel...then you put the timing chain sprocket on and make sure the big line with the capital T labeled on it is lined up perfectly straight towards the front wheel...youll see three marks on the case behind next to the sprocket line it up with the middle one and you should be all set....just pm me if you have any troubles
