Re: stock/mod motor

Cheaper to get a 143. But its funner to do one off mods to make your own motor. Like porting the carb and stuff.

Re: stock/mod motor

costs 2-3 times as much and has less power than a 143 racehead with the right carb. the limiting factor to a stock/mod is the carb and head.

Re: stock/mod motor

stock mod will be about 4 times more if done right
but if done right...it will be faster than a 143 with racehead

Re: stock/mod motor

not if the 143 is done right. V2 or +R head with 30mm valves compared to big valve stockers 26-27mm and a bored stock carb will never flow like a good 26-28mm carb.

Re: stock/mod motor

i know what you meant, but i don't think he did (and i didn't want to give him false hopes that a stock/mod would be cheaper or easier to build)
