Stock Jetting? I just put an FMF pipe on my sons 04 KLX 110. Other than the pipe it's 100% stock and I am wondering if I'll have to go up on the main due to the pipe? What is the stock main and what do you guys with this setup run for a main? I'm at sea level by the way, Thanks Anthony

Re: Stock Jetting? I'd try 40/85 jetting. That's what I'm running with a pipe 4th gear drum and BBR cam. It's fine, but I could almost do a 42 main. --L*64

Re: Stock Jetting? You can either get them from Sudco, TBR has them, but they're kinda expensive, and you should be able to at least get the 40 pilot off of the KLX140 microfiche. If you go the Sudco route, you may have to buy them in sets of four-- I'm not sure. I had to nut up, and pay TBR the 30 bucks for them. --L*64

Re: Stock Jetting? I had the Sudco part #'s. If you do a search, you can find them on here. I'm going to have to do the same thing, because I think that I need a 42 pilot in my KLX. I can't seem to get it to idle down right away. I swear that you have to buy a bunch of jets from Sudco-- I think that there is a minimum. I went the TBR route. I think that they get them from Sudco, then mark them up. ---L*64

Re: Stock Jetting? I have a spare set of stock jets, could I drill out the main? Anyone know what size to drill to? I want to go up one size from stock due to a pipe I put on.

Re: Stock Jetting? I've heard of people drilling them, but I don't know the size of the drill bit to use. I could easily see getting it wrong... ---L*64

Re: Stock Jetting? Which FMF pipe, if it's a 4.1 you'll lose power everywhere but top, just shim the needle 1mm and imagine you are going faster. If it's the smaller FMF, no jetting changes are needed.

Re: Stock Jetting? When my motor was stock besides for a pipe and air filter I ran a 40 pilot, 85 main, and shimmed the needle 1mm. You can buy the jets from your local Kawi dealer.

Re: Stock Jetting? The local dealer? What are the part #'s? There may be something on the KLX140 parts fiche, as the jets are the same. As far as I know-- there are no available jets other than stock on the 110 fiche. ---L*64

Re: Stock Jetting? To buy them from Sudco, you have to buy them in packs of four. I've attached the pages showing their part numbers. You might be able to get some sizes straight from Kawasaki by ordering them for the Prairie four wheelers. With just a pipe and no air box mods, you probably won't need to go up very many sizes.

| Re: Stock Jetting? It's an FMF Power core 4. It just feels like it could use more fuel, and seems hot. Right now it's 90* I know when it cools off I will need to go up on the main and shim the needle. I had the needle shimmed until summer and it worked great.. | Re: Stock Jetting? I have gotten all my jets from XR50.com. Here is the link: Main Jets for STOCK KLX/DRZ110 Carbs You might want to open up your air box to give it a bit more air and rejet. Good luck . . . |
