| Re: race tech emulators question I ran the emulators in my stocker forks before and couldn't tell the diff with or without them. I've got the damping rods and 1 stiff/1 stock spring and it's pretty sweet for how cheap it was. I'm running a Works off the shelf shock for the (190-210 lb rider? They run way soft, and I weigh 145) and the rods and spring up front. With that setup-- the "sweet" spot is to have the forks up in the clamps 3/4 of an inch. They are about an inch and a half longer with the rods. I went up a half inch just because a 110 sits slightly "stinkbug" stock, then add a quarter inch for the quarter inch of rear travel increase that the Works shock adds. That makes it handle, and it sits level too. This is my favorite bike to thrash on for fun. ---L*64 |
