Newbie question about suspension We have a '08 KLX110, which is all stock except for a Yosh pipe. The bike is for my 10yo (5' 100#) who also races 85's and supermini. Now he's getting into pitbike racing and jumping the $h!t out of this poor little kawi and asking for some better "REAR" suspension. Thinking that he needs both front AND rear I was searching around on ebay but I can't afford both. I found a Sik 110 extended swingarm and Fox Float MXR shock for $600 +s&h. I am also going to get him a hydraulic clutch kit and over-the-top brake lever and maybe some footpegs in the deal, so all in all it's going to be close to $1k for everything. My question to all of you is, since I don't have enough $$$ for the front suspension, should I: A - Go for it and get the front end later? B - Wait until I can afford it and get front and rear suspension together? C - Other, please explain _________________ Here are some recent pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks in advance, Larry

Re: Newbie question about suspension you can always go for the BBR damping rods in the front, it brings up the front end 1.5 inches and maybe buy heavy duty springs and put one Hd spring and leave the other stock. This is from reading on here. Im sure someone who knows a little more will chime in.

Re: Newbie question about suspension honestly for a young kid i wouldn't have bought the extended swing arm i would have just got a stiffer spring for the rear shock or a new rear shock and then did what someone else said just do springs and dampen rods in the front .... but now that your rear end is gonna be jacked up kx60 forks would be the cheapest way to go ... if you cant find them on e-bay let me know cuz i know where to find them already setup how you would want them

Re: Newbie question about suspension Yeah, he's a racer, I think he can handle it. Here's his MX Resultz profile: MX Resultz Well we just won a set of KX60 forks on ebay and should have the rest of the swag (swingarm, iShock, magura clutch, brake lever, shifter, primary drive gear) here tomorrow. I guess I still need to order a longer front brake cable for the new forks and some HD clutch springs. ![]() ![]()
