Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion I got mines done 3yrs ago from mike in alabama, but if its not done right it will be a hassle, you better off going with the BBR cuz to get the bike to perform right you need a kx65 ohlins shock and they need to totally revamp it.I have $1125 in the shock alone but it will take what ever I throw at it.

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion Its almost not worth. Unless you can do most of the work yourself. The KX shock is too long and requires lots of work to make fit, and is mediocore at best. The ohlin's shock is more expensive then a super pro rear end. The pitster x4 conversion is easier but still costly. I bagged my conversion till winter when I have time to work on it.

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion my buddy just fabbed a 65 swinger and used a kx60 rear shock and 800lb pitster spring. It works decent, just need to dial the shock in a little, not counting his time, he has $100 invested. I think he'd be willing to mod another swinger for a fair price. PM me your number and I'll pass it along to him if you're interested.

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion I bought that swinger he was selling. Also anything is possible. I got a buddy that I helped put a cr 80 swinger and shock on his 110 with a set of trick kx 60 forks that got bottles on them or overflow tanks like some guys use on big bikes. Also bt260 did the pister spring fit right on the kx 60 shock and which pister model one did he use? I have a 60 shock on my ttr 90 and need a stiffer spring. I only weigh about 140 lbs though. Thanks

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion Coupla ideas... I was looking into a KX65 conversion arm a while back, but I don't weld, and I couldn't find anyone to fab one for me. Here's what I came up with. I thought about taking a Metaltek swinger-- its' steel-- and grinding off the bridge from it. Then weld on some tabs to use an upright shock with a BBR or other shock tower. If you look at the Metaltek swingarm-- it's similar to a KX65 swingarm, only with a bridge on it. With that, you wouldn't have to worry about the rear wheel lining up. Now that I saw the Pitster conversion-- I'd be leaning in that direction-- it's cool and cheap! The third solution? I want to run the whole KX65 as a pit bike! I'm so sick of dicking with 110's-- I just want to drop heavy springs, and mod the 65 shock, and run that. It's a project that I'm thinking about in the near future. ---L*64

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion Here's the Metaltek arm. It's chromoly-- it'd be nothing to cut the bridge off and make it into a big bike style swinger. That looks like a KX65 chain guide too.

Sort of. It's the right diameter, but it's too short. His dad machined a trick collar out of aluminum that takes up the extra space and keeps it in place. It's a stock spring off an X4. What pound/rate spring do you have, my friend's came with like a 250lb Ohlins spring that he's not going to use, maybe that be heavy enough for you and your setup... | |

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion It is a major project. You will need to shorten and narrow the swingarm, weld on shock tabs and relocate the upper shock mount. I looked into it then found this modified frame on ebay. It can be done, but seems like a lot of work. You might be better off getting a BBR swingarm and shock that comes with a relocating bracket that just bolts in, then add a KX65 or other aftermarket front end. Here are some pics of the frame I bought on Ebay: ![]() ![]() ![]() I works pretty well for adult (175lb) rider but a bit of a pogo stick for my 75lb kid. Good luck

Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion seeing as how I don't do fab work its gonna coast me more. so it would be better to just buy one... sik 110, bbr, big minis or sano...anyone know which one is pure trash.. or are all of them worth it. the cheapest one I found is the sik 110 for 949.00 or something like that. Also are the hoop style long travel just like the mx swingarm...(seat height,travel.etc....)
