KLX/Pitster conversion Well i was on a budget for this build and I was looking for a decent setup that was pretty cheap and this is what I did. It has GPX forks, DNM rear shock, Pitster wheels, Pitster swinger, Pitster brakes, and Pitster triple clamps. The motor is the new TB 165 scut kit with the V2. Hoping to have everything done by the end of the week. Sorry for the blurry pics not sure why that happened. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion Wait a second..... Are you saying that a Pitster swingarm will bolt up to a KLX110? Did it need modded? I've been looking for a relatively inexpensive Big Bike setup for my 110 with a rear disc brake. Now I'm thinking about if I could use that Pitster swinger, with a BBR shock tower (like this guy did...), a BBR disc brake master cylinder and adaptor-- with a Sik Tendencies KX65 rear wheel and caliper... is this doable? I have a BBR rear ended bike-- but the setup was so expensive, I'm racing a much cheaper ride. Somebody give us the details as to what will work, and what mods are needed. ---L*64

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion Big Minis, and Sik 50's 110's have mono rear ends. You can see if they will sell you the braket. The big minis mono uses different geometry then the bbr and all the others seem like bbr copies. I think reeg does a 110 mono rear as well.

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion I have 4 KLX110's, only one has a BBR rear end. I don't race that bike because it's too expensive. I'm racing a cheaper bike than that. When I saw this conversion, I picked up the phone and got ahold of the man... ST Gary. He said that the KX65 bracket and KX65 rear wheel and brake will work with this arm. I'd definitely consider this option, as the Pitster swingarm is a fraction of what a BBR swinger would be. I can use my BBR shock tower along with my BBR Elka shock too. May be a go, what's the retail on a Pitster swing arm? --- L*64

I want to know more details about how you made that swinger work... To be more specific I want to know how you made the rear brake work... What did the rear end cost? Oh... and by the way... I want to know how you like the new scut kit? | |
