That is correct - however you can simply take out the detent connector and spring and wire it up to the earth. This will then allow it to be started in any gear. Or you can go and buy a bump start kit for $$$ which does the same thing. | |

| Re: how said this Lol there is an ignition switch that needs to be bypassed before you can bump start it you fool. If it is in gear, the spark plug will not fire. It must be in neutral. Thats why you should relocate the off/run switch when youre riding with dickhead buddies who like to flip it off while youre cruising in 3rd. Then you gotta downshift allll the way back into neutral til she comes back alive. Unless of course you ground the detent connector as geof said. |
