Re: chp vs TB

They are almost identicle... except the TB is cheaper (price wise) and they stand behind the product more.

And chasetheface, what is your reasoning behind you (ignorant) comment?

Re: chp vs TB

i run a TB 143 kit for over a year now and its just as quick as the kitaco.

ive now got a 55mm stroker crank and a TB V2 head to go on it.
plus a kitaco rotor kit.
it gos well at the moement so god knows what its going to do when i get these bits on it.

for the money i dont think you can beat the TB kit.

ive built crf Takegawa motors for my sister and when it went BANG! in a big way, we put all new TB PARTS on it.

the build was spot on and is just as fast i would say.

the choice is yours

Re: chp vs TB

Unless CHP updated their kit they dont have the plated cylinder and are just useing a steel sleeve.I havent looked it up in a while because I really dont care about it.

Get the TB kit.

Re: chp vs TB

All TB vendors are "supposed" to sell TB parts at the same price.

Doesn't your man (Justin or Squidie) work for CHP?

doesn't mean that kit wasn't good. it doesn't matter who he works for I was just giving my opinion on the kit. it's not like he works on commission.

I'm not stating an opinion on the quality of these kits as both have their own merits.

However, I do find it strange you would run TB products (and they blew up???) when Justin works for CHP and obviously can get you the CHP hookup. And, with your close relationship to CHP, your allegiance obviously falls to CHP's products, rending your opinion moot in this thread.

See where I'm coming from?

Everyone else - Do your homework and buy the parts you are the most comfortable with whether it be TB or CHP.

i ran TB before i met Justin. And no my opinion is not moot, i have ran both products and had a bad experience with one (TB) and a good experience with the CHP period end of story. If i believed in the TB kit I'd be on here saying how great it was but it's not. I wasn't a fan of their stuff when i ran it.
