any diffrence in quality from the tb to any of the others? am i better off spending the extra $ and getting the takegawa? or do the tb's hit gears every time?

The TB parts 4th gear shift drum will work perfectly fine and will last longer then the Takagawa 4th gear shift drum due to the fact that the Takagawa 4th gear shift drum is made from Aluminum where the TB 4th gear drum is cast steel. Though the TB part is heavier it is way more durable and cheaper so "IMO" it is a better 4th gear shift drum. Also the 4th gear shift drum that Classic Honda sells that is an OEM 4th gear shift drum that they put in the KSR110's is what we use but I believe they are the same exact thing with a different stamp on them maybe! So what ever one is cheaper is the better one to go with!

The genuine Kawi parts are hollow and therefore lighter than the TB drums. But I have TB in both my bikes and and they've held up fine, no problems. I even have an extra brand new TB drum I'm looking to part with, $30 shipped.

I may be interested in this. Brand new tb 4th gear drum correct?

you may want to add a billet shift star as well.

Yep brand new. bought it figuring my buddy would be after it for his bike, which he was, til he figured out he'd have to split the cases. It's been sitting on the shelf ever since. and the billet star isn't a bad idea and fairly inexpensive.

how difficult is the install of one of these? i have ripped apart and put together a few bikes and am pretty comfortable until I split the cases. the only unsuccessful project ive done is completely tear down a crf50 that is still in every piece possible (i tore open the oil drain plug on the center case). So...am I capable of of this install?

When I did the 4 spd drum (TB) I was tld the star is only needed on the earlier ones. Like 05 and older or something. The newer ones are allready stronger.
