| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis looks neat, also looks like some one took the time to make a big welded blob on it too. Can't say i'v ever seen one though, kudos to you. also 8 bucks is a rip off. |

I was warned of the charlatans that would covet this object and offer meager sums while knowing the true value of this artifact. It will only be safe in a museum. | |

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Powroll I think still sells the supertrapp exhausts for the CT70's and Z50's. I ran one back in the day before the Japanese parts became available. |

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Got one on my old ice racer (72 XL250 bored and stroked). Great mufflers. You can still get the mufflers in different sizes. I've never seen one that tiny though. ![]()

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Yea I was just looking a Supertrapp's website. The smallest disks the sell now are 3" This one has 2" disks. So just because there are exposed threads does not mean it's missing some disks? It looks like I can fit more on there. |

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Yup that's the whole idea...Fewer discs=more back pressure for low end. More discs=less back pressure for top end. There should be a spring on there instead of the nut holding the discs.

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Ah ha. Too bad I dont have a 50cc to test it with. It is too small for 70s and up. I might be able to rig up a smaller pipe to at least see what it sounds like. |

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis Pam Falcioni from Powroll answered some questions I had via e-mail, and one of the things she told me was that a good all-around performance exhaust for Honda 50s and 70s, including with their 85cc bore kit, was to use a 1-1/4" headpipe, no longer than 30", with a 3" supertrapp on the end, and run 5-7 discs in it. I wonder if that 2" unit you've got is intended to go on the end of a two-stroke expansion chamber? I've seen two-stroke muffler body kits that take the 3" discs; I thought of putting one on this street-legal YZ490 project I was tinkering with before just making my own muffler out of sheet. |

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis I've got a Powroll built Supertrapp setup for my 'B' bike, I love the sound. I need to get it coated though, I was in a rush and had Powroll send it without their normal finish on it. At the time I was going to weld a bung on for an O2 sensor... never did fire that up.

| Re: Vintage Supertrapp Muffler(?) for Minis This place has some cool Suppertrapp style mufflers and arrestors. They could be adapted to alot of apllications! I've used the 10" stainless one before on a small bike before.. Appletree Automotive VW & Dune Buggy Parts Service - Product Catalog |
